CONSUMED

Boarding the red-eye into the Evers yet again
where these paralytic dreams rise and fall
like the elegant waves of a looking glass field
lulling me toward that perfect intersection
where time and space intertwine

Even further I go

I was here, but I disappear
further, further...
Until I am everywhere
and nowhere

And I'm drifting in a sea of beguiling conceptions

underneath a pineal storm
I'm pretty sure I've been here many times before
where this parallel greeting me in the reflection
remains as familiar as the rising sun

Face to face, this enigma and I

collecting ternary allowances
while confined to weary contradictions
but always keeping within grasp
the elixir that keeps this journey sustained

Pushing and pulling, and so it goes

until each compressed sigh yields
consumed by the need to satiate infinite yearning
which has been swelling for time on end
and painting my psyche lucid with desire

But it's always the same

I open my eyes as the Evers sound their call
A smile I keep for myself. I know
the white walls mirroring the color of clouds
as they move over the sun
